If you're in need of something different, learn more about the path to enrolment at SASY.
The SASY community
Every young person at SASY is here because they need support, whatever that looks like for them.
SASY's community is small on purpose, to ensure that we can provide sustainable, personalised, engaging, and supportive education to every young person in our school. In order for us to maintain our continuity of care, we have committed to a smaller cohort than traditional schools.
SASY provides an alternative educational setting for students with high-level social and emotional needs that are disengaged from mainstream schooling.
Our approach
At SASY, we believe in a holistic approach to education.
That means, upon enrolment, we want to get to know who a young person is beyond their report card.
By asking you about your interests, your goals, how you are feeling, your friends, family and home life, and any supports you need both in and outside the classroom, we can develop a picture of you and identify what you may need at SASY to thrive.
SASY is a collaboration of trust and connection between young people and staff from the very beginning, and it starts at enrolment. It is imperative that young people and their support networks feel confident that SASY can support their needs, and in turn, it is important to us, that we can support you during your time at SASY.
Whilst we know SASY is a great place to be, it isn't for everyone, and we review every enrolment application individually to ensure we can adequately accommodate a young person's needs before accepting them. Enrolments are not guaranteed.

- School reports
- Notes or letters written by the student explaining their situation
- Notes or letters written by a parent/carer/support person explaining the student's situation
